Our Mission
Our mission at Long Island Sounds of Silence is to help autistic children meet and conquer the sensory and fear-based challenges that affect their daily lives.  Through music training and performances, as well as exposure to theatrical performing arts and dance, autistic children can build deep confidence and essential coping skills that help them face the world with greater ease. In a safe, supportive environment, they learn to manage sensory overload, express themselves creatively, and practice social interaction in ways that feel joyful instead of frightening. Over time, these experiences help them overcome sensory issues, reduce anxiety, and discover their own unique strengths, both on and off the stage.
